President Donald Trump on Friday vowed that his crackdown on crime in Washington will soon expand to other Democrat-run cities, singling out Chicago as the next target.
“Chicago is a mess. You have an incompetent mayor, grossly incompetent, and we’ll straighten that one out probably next,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. “That’ll be our next one after this, and it won’t even be tough.”
While most residents suffering under Chicago’s violent crime epidemic would welcome stronger law enforcement, one woman went viral for taking the opposite stance.
Jill Ciminillo admitted in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that she was carjacked in Chicago and had her arm broken in the process. Yet instead of supporting Trump’s effort to restore order, she told the President to stay away:
“Dear @realDonaldTrump… I’ve been carjacked in Chicago with my arm broken. I still don’t want you or your troops here,” she wrote.
Her message, dismissing federal help despite being a direct victim of the city’s lawlessness, sparked disbelief and ridicule online.
Critics across social media slammed Ciminillo for what they saw as a delusional defense of failed Democratic leadership:

“You were assaulted and had your car stolen. Someone literally tried to stop you,” one user responded.

“In case no one in your life has been honest with you, allow me: This is an insane thing to think or say. Get some help,” another wrote.

“You should walk around with a giant sign that says ‘I’m cool with getting carjacked,’” one post mocked.
The roasting quickly went viral, with screenshots of her tweet circulating widely.
Following the wave of backlash Ciminillo had deleted her X account.
