Ronna McDaniel Joins NBC News

Former Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel will join NBC News as a contributor.

She will also appear as a commentator on MSNBC, Axios reported. The latter network, in particular, is regarded as a typically left-leaning network. McDaniel is slated to appear Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” in which she will give her first interview since leaving the RNC, per The Hill.

McDaniel officially stepped down as RNC chairwoman earlier in March after months of pressure from Republicans. During the party primary, tech mogul Vivek Ramaswamy used his opening statement in a November debate to call for her firing.

North Carolina GOP Chairman Michael Whatley and former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, have since stepped into RNC leadership.

NBC political coverage chief Carrie Budoff Brown expressed excitement at McDaniel’s hiring, suggesting her perspective would prove a valuable asset to the network.

“It couldn’t be a more important moment to have a voice like Ronna’s on the team,” she said.
