Rudy Giuliani Hospitalized After Car Crash

Rudy Giuliani was hospitalized after a car crash in New Hampshire that left him with injuries including a fractured vertebra, his security chief said Sunday.

The former Trump lawyer and New York City mayor was in an SUV being driven by his spokesperson Ted Goodman when it was struck from behind by another vehicle on Saturday night, per a police statement.

Giuliani’s security chief, Michael Ragusa, said in a statement posted to X that the the 81-year-old was “flagged down by a woman who was the victim of a domestic violence incident” prior to the crash.

“Mayor Giuliani immediately rendered assistance and contacted 911,” Ragusa said.

“He remained on scene until responding officers arrived to ensure her safety” and his vehicle was later struck while traveling on the highway, per Ragusa.

Giuliani was taken to a nearby trauma center “where he was diagnosed with a fractured thoracic vertebrae, multiple lacerations and contusions, as well as injuries to his left arm and lower leg,” Ragusa said.

Goodman and the driver of the other vehicle, identified as Lauren Kemp, 19, of Concord, N.H, also sustained “non-life-threatening injuries and were taken by ambulance to area hospitals for treatment,” police said.

Giuliani is “in good spirits and recovering tremendously,” Ragusa said.

Both vehicles were “heavily damaged” in the crash, according to police.

No charges have been filed, but police said “all aspects of the crash remain under investigation.”
