FBI Tied Jan. 6 Pipe Bomber to Metro Card of Ex-Gov Official, But Blocked Interview of Him, Former Agent Says

A former FBI agent said that the Bureau quickly believed that it tied the person who planted pipe bombs at the Democrat National Committee and the Republican National Committee to a particular Metro fare card and license plate, but did not allow him to interview the person of interest and pulled his team off of the lead, Daily Wire reported.

The allegation raises more questions about the pipe bombs, which were by far the most violent aspect of the January 6 protests, but which Democrats and authorities have seldom mentioned since.

Kyle Seraphin, who led FBI surveillance teams, told The Daily Wire that shortly after January 6, a counterintelligence team met him at a firehouse in Falls Church, Virginia to brief him on his next surveillance target: They had used security footage to follow the person into a Metro station after he planted the bombs, and identified the fare card that was used.

That fare card then allowed them to determine that the person got off at a Metro stop in Northern Virginia, where surveillance footage showed the person entering a car. Both the car and the fare card were in the name of the same person — a retired Air Force chief master sergeant who was now working as a contractor with a security clearance, they said.

Seraphin and his team were assigned to stake out the person’s row house for days, but the FBI blocked his request to interview the person, he said. Then they were called off the target completely and told to pore through low-priority leads about minor January 6 participants, he said.

“Allegedly someone threw bombs around the Capitol which could have killed congressmen or a busload of nuns or anything, and the answer is you can’t follow this guy around — you have to go to headquarters and read ‘leads’ where someone said ‘I might’ve went to high school with some guy that was standing around the Capitol?’” Seraphin told The Daily Wire.

Seraphin said the bomber wasn’t necessarily the same person of interest to whom the car and card were registered to, but that it was a highly specific lead that, if pursued, had a good chance of leading investigators to the suspect. “They found people based on their earlobes that were hanging out by a flagpole,” he said of the Bureau’s persistence in pursuing more minor January 6 wrongdoings.

He said the case was being run by the counter-intelligence division, which are not “manhunters” used to apprehend people and build prosecutable cases. He said that team called in his surveillance team, only to go ahead and quickly cut it off.

He said it was not surprising that the FBI would have traced the bomber, and, in fact, it would be more surprising if it hadn’t. “They can do telephonic capture and triangulate your phone in real-time… The bureau is far too competent to fail this,” he said. “When they had the World Trade Center bombing in ‘93 they went under four stories of rubble and were able to find a partial VIN number that they used to track it down to the people responsible. And you’re telling me you had a pristine, non-detonated bomb and they couldn’t find anything on it?”

The FBI has released only a couple of grainy pictures of the bomber, despite massive security camera coverage on Capitol Hill. Though the bomber was seen talking on a phone, it has said it may not have been able to identify him with cell phone records because a database was corrupted.

The Washington Times first reported the allegation in May 2023. The article, which was paywalled, did not get widespread attention, yet when the House Judiciary Committee interviewed Steve D’Antuono, the former head of the FBI’s Washington Field Office, it seemed to be on his mind.

“People like Kyle Seraphin and others that are not a case agent, have no knowledge of the case, have no knowledge of what happened in the case, he also made another accusation too that there was an individual with a Metro card. My understanding is all that was chased down. There was a lead that was chased down, but he says that we didn’t chase it down,” D’Antuono said.

His comment seemed to confirm that the Metro card lead did exist, and he did not explain how or why it ultimately resulted in nothing.

The FBI’s Washington Field Office did not return The Daily Wire’s request for an explanation of why the lead was believed to be a dead end.

Immediately after claiming that Seraphin would not know details because he was not a “case agent,” D’Antuono acknowledged that he himself did not know even basic details about the investigation because he was far removed from case agents as a top leader.

D’Antuono went on ABC to hype up the apparent MAGA terrorist threat in 2022 to say that, “They would have exploded. They could have exploded,” calling the pipe bombs “viable” devices, as The Washington Times recounted.

But in the transcribed interview with Congress, he acknowledged that the bombs had 60-minute kitchen timers attached to them, and that they had not exploded 17 hours later. “I saw the same kitchen timer as you. I agree. I don’t know when they were supposed to go off. Maybe they weren’t supposed to go off,” he said.

Seraphin said that when he was assigned to the case, he asked about the bombs, and his team was briefed by the FBI that they were not at risk of detonating. “It was an officer safety question. You’re gonna work a case differently if they’re not real, you can get closer,” he said.

Rep. Thomas Massie, a member of the Judiciary Committee, asked D’Antuono about the pipe bombs after uncovering video that showed a person pointing out the pipe bomb to officers outside the DNC, only to have the officers react with no urgency, even letting children cross the street afterward.

Massie told The Daily Wire that the officers’ reaction was not congruent with someone who believes they have just learned of what might be a real bomb feet away from a party headquarters, and raises the question of whether they knew it was planted there.

Some of those personnel were Secret Service guarding Kamala Harris, who was in the building at the time. The Department of Justice initially falsely stated that Harris was in the Capitol, not the DNC, which allowed them to avoid the question of why the Secret Service didn’t find the bomb. Seraphin said there’s “zero chance” that the Secret Service would have missed a pipe bomb sitting in almost plain sight when preparing a site for the Vice President-elect. “They’re far too good for that,” he said.

Seraphin said of the video, “That’s not how you react to a bomb, I don’t care who you are,” unless they had reason in advance to “believe it wasn’t real.”

Both bombs were purportedly planted around 8 p.m. the night of January 5, and remained unreported until both were discovered within minutes of each other at the exact time that the Capitol was being breached. Capitol Police have said that January 6 got out of hand because they were forced to divert resources to the bombs instead of crowd control.

Harris has gone out of her way not to mention the bomb, even implying that she was safe from January 6 because “I had left” — when, in fact, she had left for a location roughly 30 feet away from a purported bomb.

Darren Beattie, a reporter for Revolver News who has uncovered numerous discrepancies around the pipe bombs, joined Massie for an online chat on Thursday. He said that in addition to the details that don’t add up, there is the glaring fact that Democrats have omitted all mention of the most dramatic part of January 6, even as they seek to cast it as a violent insurrection.

“How dark, how dirty, how damning, how embarrassing does the truth have to be for these salivating political opportunists have to be to forgo the obvious political advantages of this talking point?” he asked.

Rudy Giuliani Served Arizona Indictment Same Day as His 80th Birthday Party

    Citizen Frank

    Published

    on

Rudy Giuliani’s 80th birthday bash in Palm Beach was stormed “like it was Normandy” as the former New York City mayor was served with notice of his Arizona indictment, sources told The Post.

In front of nearly 75 guests, two officials with Arizona’s attorney general’s office arrived at the shindig around 11 p.m. to hand Giuliani the papers in the case alleging he and 17 others were involved in a plot to overturn the 2020 election, the sources said.

Some partygoers started screaming and one woman even cried as Giuliani was served.

“While crime in Arizona is at an all time high the Arizona Secretary of State’s office felt it was a good use of resources to send multiple agents across the country to storm an 80th birthday party like it was Normandy,” fumed Caroline Wren, a top GOP consultant, who hosted the gathering at her home.

Giuliani’s spokesman Ted Goodman echoed a similar sentiment.

“It’s unfortunate that they chose to barge up and startle guests during a celebration of this man’s 80th birthday,” Goodman told The Post.

“They could’ve shown a little more respect for the man who comforted the nation following September 11th and who stands up for law enforcement and the men and women in blue.”

Giuliani was the last of the 18 defendants in the case to be served in the indictment that was returned by a grand jury last month, Arizona officials said.

Arizona prosecutors had been looking for Giuliani for the last few weeks, but up until Friday night had failed to find him, CNN reported earlier this week.

At the height of the Palm Beach soirée, as many as 200 people, including Roger Stone and Steve Bannon, were in attendance.

Giuliani recorded an hour-long episode of “America’s Mayor Live” on his YouTube channel during the gathering, chatting with guests including Stone and Bannon.

While the sun was still shining, the ex-mayor – donning shades and dress pants with a blue button-down and orange tie – belted out Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” over the microphone in the backyard of the Florida home.

He was all smiles around 10 p.m. as cake was served, posing for photos in a room full of birthday balloons.

But about an hour later the celebratory atmosphere shifted.

After he was served, Giuliani got in his car and left, sources said.

Charges against those indicted in the so-called “fake electors” plot include fraud, forgery, and conspiracy.

Donald Trump’s former chief of staff Mark Meadows and former Arizona GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward were among the 18 indicted.

“In Arizona, and the United States, the people elected Joseph Biden as President on November 3, 2020,” the indictment says. “Unwilling to accept this fact, Defendants and unindicted coconspirators schemed to prevent the lawful transfer of the presidency to keep Unindicted Coconspirator 1 in office against the will of Arizona’s voters.”

Trump Demands Drug Test for Biden Before Debate

    Citizen Frank

    Published

    on

It’s been more than 50 years since a Republican won Minnesota in a presidential election, but former President Trump says he’s got “a really good shot” of breaking the losing streak this November in his 2024 rematch with President Biden.

The former president is in the historically reliable blue state Friday evening to headline the Minnesota GOP’s annual Lincoln Reagan fundraising dinner. He began his speech with the usual jabs at Biden’s cognitive ability, but also referenced the recently agreed to debates between the two.

“He’s going to be so jacked up for those, you watch,” Trump joked, later saying he was going to “demand a drug test” for Biden before the debate.

He went on to promise a rollback of Biden’s environmental mandates relating to automakers, railed against the sour economic statistics under Biden, and vowed to fix the ongoing border crisis.

Trump also blasted Biden’s habit of repeating false stories concerning his life experiences. “He’s so full of s–t,” Trump said as the crowd laughed.

Trump lost Minnesota by just 1½ points in his 2016 presidential election victory over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Four years ago, he lost the state to President Biden by more than seven points in his unsuccessful re-election campaign.

Ahead of the 2020 election, Trump promised a victory in Minnesota, saying that if he lost, “I’m never coming back.”

Fast-forward four years and Trump is back and once again predicting a victory.

“We think we have a really good shot at Minnesota,” Trump emphasized in an interview Wednesday with KSTP, a local TV station in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul. “We have great friendships up there.”

Trump added that he’s “worked hard on Minnesota” and that “Tom Emmer is very much involved,” pointing to the House majority whip.

Emmer, who is joining Trump at the state GOP gala, is chairing the Trump campaign in Minnesota even though the former president and his allies helped sink Emmer’s bid last autumn to become House speaker.

As the Trump and Biden campaigns prepare for battle in seven crucial swing states that decided the 2020 election (Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, which were narrowly won by Biden, and North Carolina, which Trump carried by a razor-thin margin) and will likely once again in the 2024 rematch, both campaigns see opportunities to expand the map.

Two weekends ago at a closed-door Republican National Committee retreat for top-dollar donors at a resort in Palm Beach, Florida, senior Trump campaign advisers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita and veteran pollster Tony Fabrizio spotlighted internal surveys that suggested both “Minnesota and Virginia are clearly in play.”

“In both states, Trump finds himself in positions to flip key electoral votes in his favor,” the survey, which was shared with Fox News, emphasizes.

And both states have sizable populations of rural white voters without college degrees who disproportionately support the former president.

Biden’s campaign disagrees that either Minnesota or Virginia are up for grabs.

While noting they are “not taking any state or any vote for granted,” Biden campaign battleground states director Dan Kanninen told reporters last week “we don’t see polls that are six or seven months out from a general election, head-to-head numbers certainly, as any more predictive than a weather report is six or seven months out.”

Kanninen highlighted that the campaign has teams on the ground in both states engaging voters.

“We feel strongly the Biden-Harris coalition in both Minnesota and Virginia, which has been strong in the midterms and off-year elections, will continue to be strong for us in the fall of 2024,” he added.

And Biden campaign spokesperson Lauren Hitt, pointing to the president’s current fundraising dominance and ground-game advantage in the key battlegrounds, argued “Trump’s team has so little campaign or infrastructure to speak of they’re resorting to leaking memos that say ‘the polls we paid for show us winning.'”

But Democratic Rep. Dean Phillips of Minnesota, who launched a long-shot and unsuccessful primary challenge against the president, insists “Minnesota’s in play.”

Phillips, in an interview this week on Fox News’ “Special Edition,” argued Minnesota’s “like a lot of states that I think a lot of my fellow Democrats don’t want to confess is the reality. … I’m telling my Democratic colleagues who are supporting President Biden, myself included, that there’s a lot of work to do.”

While Trump’s campaign looks for opportunities to expand the map in Minnesota and Virginia, Biden’s campaign appears to be eyeing swing state North Carolina and Florida.

Trump carried the Sunshine State by less than four points in 2020, but two years ago, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and GOP Sen. Marco Rubio each won re-election by nearly 20 points.

LaCivita argued the Biden campaign was playing “a faux game” in both states but insisted Trump has a “real opportunity in expanding the map in Virginia and Minnesota.”

Trump’s stop in Minnesota comes a week after he held a large rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, a red bastion in an overwhelming blue state where no Republican has carried the state in a presidential election in over three decades. Trump lost the state to Biden by 16 points four years ago.

“We’re going to win New Jersey,” Trump vowed at the rally.

In Shift from 2020, ‘Never Biden’ Voters Now Outnumber ‘Never Trumpers’

    Citizen Frank

    Published

    on

In a revealing twist for the 2024 presidential election, polls show “Never Biden” voters are more common than “Never Trumpers.”

In a recent poll 52% of respondents said they would never vote for President Joe Biden, while 46% said the same for former President Donald Trump.

This flips the narrative from the 2020 election, which saw the opposite be true. It’s another sliver of evidence that Trump has an edge over Biden in November.

Three of four such polls since November have more “Never Biden” voters than “Never Trump” voters.

Voters have had a more favorable view of Trump’s presidency since Biden took office, and that appears to be manifesting in the polls.

The “Never Trump” movement originally began in 2015, as Trump built momentum toward his eventual 2016 Republican presidential nomination, with many conservatives vowing to never support him.

That group of Republicans united behind former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley in 2024, and primary voters are still casting votes for her despite Trump’s clinching of the Republican nomination.

Recently, Haley grabbed 21.3% of the vote away from Trump in Maryland’s primary this month.

Trump is leading by five points in a head-to-head matchup with Biden as well as by three points when third parties are included in an Echelon Insights new poll.

Both candidates recently scheduled a June 27 CNN debate and a Sept. 10 ABC debate, with other debates pending as well.

Missouri’s AG Vows to Hold Kansas City Accountable After Doxxing Kicker

    Citizen Frank

    Published

    on

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey said on Thursday that his office is “demanding accountability” after Kansas City doxxed Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker on social media following a commencement speech he gave over the weekend.

“My office is demanding accountability after @KansasCity doxxed @buttkicker7 last night for daring to express his religious beliefs,” Bailey posted on X. “I will enforce the Missouri Human Rights Act to ensure Missourians are not targeted for their free exercise of religion. Stay tuned.”

The official Kansas City X account, which stated what town Butker resides in, later deleted the post and issued an apology: “We apologies [sic] for our previous tweet. It was shared in error.”

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas acknowledged that the post was “clearly inappropriate.”

“A message appeared earlier this evening from a City public account,” he wrote.

“The message was clearly inappropriate for a public account. The City has correctly apologized for the error, will review account access, and ensure nothing like it is shared in the future from public channels.”

Butker ripped President Joe Biden and woke diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies while delivering a commencement address at a Catholic liberal arts school on Saturday.

The three-time Super Bowl champion suggested that Biden, who, like Butler, is Catholic, has betrayed his faith with his support of abortion access.

“Bad policies and poor leadership have negatively impacted major life issues,” Butker said during the undergraduate ceremony at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas.

Butker said “things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for degenerate cultural values in media, all stem from the pervasiveness of disorder.”

The place kicker then made reference to Biden without mentioning his name, describing how the president made a sign of the cross during a pro-abortion speech by a fellow Democrat in Florida last month.

“Our nation is led by a man who publicly and proudly proclaims his Catholic faith, but at the same time is delusional enough to make the sign of the cross during a pro-abortion rally,” Butker said.

“He has been so vocal in his support for the murder of innocent babies that I’m sure to many people, it appears you can be both Catholic and pro-choice,” he added.

Biden is “not alone,” Butker went on.

“From the man behind the COVID lockdowns, to the people pushing dangerous gender ideologies onto the youth of America, they all have a glaring thing in common — they are Catholic,” Butker said. “This is an important reminder that being Catholic alone doesn’t cut it.”

Israel Discovers 700 Tunnel Shafts in Rafah, Including 50 That Cross Into Egypt

    on

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have discovered hundreds of tunnel shafts inside the Hamas stronghold of Rafah in southern Gaza, including dozens of tunnels that cross into Egypt.

Israeli Deputy Attorney General Gilad Noam made the revelation while speaking at the International Court of Justice.

“Rafah, in particular, is a focal point for ongoing terrorist activity. It is a stronghold for Hamas’ operators with several battalions belonging to the Rafah brigades entrenched in the area,” he said.

“Also present in Rafah is an intricate underground tunnel infrastructure that runs underneath the city and provides ample space for operators, command and control rooms, and military equipment.”

“Nearly 700 tunnel shafts have been identified in Rafah from which approximately 50 tunnels cross into Egypt,” he continued. “These tunnels are used by Hamas to supply itself with weapons and ammunition. It could potentially be used to smuggle out of Gaza hostages or Hamas senior operators.”

    Watch:

Joe Truzman, Senior Research Analyst at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies’ Long War Journal, noted that Israel has been very patient with Egypt while Egypt has been playing “spoiler during this crisis.”

“After Cairo refused to let in Palestinian refugees — a temporary measure that would have shortened the Gaza war — Jerusalem assented to the positioning of heavy Egyptian reinforcements in the supposedly demilitarized Sinai to seal off the Rafah border,” Truzman said.

“And all the Israelis have got in return has been vitriol and, most recently, Egyptian support for the foul allegations being leveled against them at The Hague. President Sisi is supposed to be a pragmatist rather than a populist. This cannot continue.”

OpenAI Dissolves Team Focused on Long-Term AI Risks — Co-Founder Ilya Sutskever Is Leaving

    Citizen Frank

    Published

    on

OpenAI has disbanded its team focused on the long-term risks of artificial intelligence just one year after the company announced the group, a person familiar with the situation confirmed to CNBC on Friday.

The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said some of the team members are being reassigned to multiple other teams within the company.

The news comes days after both team leaders, OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever and Jan Leike, announced their departures from the Microsoft-backed startup. Leike on Friday wrote that OpenAI’s “safety culture and processes have taken a backseat to shiny products.”

OpenAI’s Superalignment team, announced last year, has focused on “scientific and technical breakthroughs to steer and control AI systems much smarter than us.” At the time, OpenAI said it would commit 20% of its computing power to the initiative over four years.

News of the team’s dissolution was first reported by Wired.

Sutskever and Leike on Tuesday announced their departures on social media platform X, hours apart, but on Friday, Leike shared more details about why he left the startup.

“I joined because I thought OpenAI would be the best place in the world to do this research,” Leike wrote on X. “However, I have been disagreeing with OpenAI leadership about the company’s core priorities for quite some time, until we finally reached a breaking point.”

Leike wrote that he believes much more of the company’s bandwidth should be focused on security, monitoring, preparedness, safety and societal impact.

“These problems are quite hard to get right, and I am concerned we aren’t on a trajectory to get there,” he wrote. “Over the past few months my team has been sailing against the wind. Sometimes we were struggling for [computing resources] and it was getting harder and harder to get this crucial research done.”

Leike added that OpenAI must become a “safety-first AGI company.”

“Building smarter-than-human machines is an inherently dangerous endeavor,” he wrote. “OpenAI is shouldering an enormous responsibility on behalf of all of humanity. But over the past years, safety culture and processes have taken a backseat to shiny products.”

The high-profile departures come months after OpenAI went through a leadership crisis involving Altman.

In November, OpenAI’s board ousted Altman, saying in a statement that Altman had not been “consistently candid in his communications with the board.”

The issue seemed to grow more complex each day, with The Wall Street Journal and other media outlets reporting that Sutskever trained his focus on ensuring that artificial intelligence would not harm humans, while others, including Altman, were instead more eager to push ahead with delivering new technology.

Altman’s ouster prompted resignations or threats of resignations, including an open letter signed by virtually all of OpenAI’s employees, and uproar from investors, including Microsoft. Within a week, Altman was back at the company, and board members Helen Toner, Tasha McCauley and Ilya Sutskever, who had voted to oust Altman, were out. Sutskever stayed on staff at the time but no longer in his capacity as a board member. Adam D’Angelo, who had also voted to oust Altman, remained on the board.

When Altman was asked about Sutskever’s status on a Zoom call with reporters in March, he said there were no updates to share. “I love Ilya … I hope we work together for the rest of our careers, my career, whatever,” Altman said. “Nothing to announce today.”

On Tuesday, Altman shared his thoughts on Sutskever’s departure.

“This is very sad to me; Ilya is easily one of the greatest minds of our generation, a guiding light of our field, and a dear friend,” Altman wrote on X. “His brilliance and vision are well known; his warmth and compassion are less well known but no less important.” Altman said research director Jakub Pachocki, who has been at OpenAI since 2017, will replace Sutskever as chief scientist.

News of Sutskever’s and Leike’s departures, and the dissolution of the superalignment team, come days after OpenAI launched a new AI model and desktop version of ChatGPT, along with an updated user interface, the company’s latest effort to expand the use of its popular chatbot.

The update brings the GPT-4 model to everyone, including OpenAI’s free users, technology chief Mira Murati said Monday in a livestreamed event. She added that the new model, GPT-4o, is “much faster,” with improved capabilities in text, video and audio.

OpenAI said it eventually plans to allow users to video chat with ChatGPT. “This is the first time that we are really making a huge step forward when it comes to the ease of use,” Murati said.

Here is the pertinent finding, highlighted in the abstract below:

Trans activists have been lying to the public for years, telling parents that “gender-affirming” surgery prevented suicide.

US and Iran Held Indirect Talks This Week

    Citizen Frank

    Published

    on

Two top Biden administration officials held indirect talks with Iranian officials in Oman this week on how to avoid escalating regional attacks, Axios reported.

The talks — involving President Biden’s top Middle East adviser, Brett McGurk, and Abram Paley the acting U.S. envoy for Iran — were the first round of discussions between the U.S. and Iran since January, when similar negotiations were held in Oman.

The talks occurred just over a month after Iran’s unprecedented missile assault on Israel on April 13.

The attack put the Middle East on the cusp of a regional war.

Iran fired 350 ballistic missiles and drones toward Israel in retaliation for Israel’s assassination of Brig. Gen. Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a top Iranian Quds Force general in charge of that nation’s military operations in Lebanon and Syria.

It was the first-ever direct attack on Israel that had been launched from Iranian soil.

Zahedi had been killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a building near the Iranian Embassy in Damascus.

Iran’s attack was defeated in an unprecedented joint air and missile defense effort by Israel, the U.S., the U.K., France, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

Several days after the attack, Israel responded with a targeted strike on an S-300 air defense system at Iranian air force base.

One of the Biden administration’s main goals since Oct. 7 has been to prevent the Gaza conflict from leading to a regional war.

The U.S. thinks Iran has a lot of influence over its proxies in the region.

Those include Hezbollah in Lebanon, the pro-Iranian militias in Syria and Iraq that conducted attacks against U.S. forces, and the Houthis in Yemen who still attack ships in the Red Sea.

McGurk and Paley arrived in Oman on Tuesday and met with Omani mediators, the sources said.

It’s unclear who represented Iran at the talks.

The sources said the talks focused on clarifying the consequences of actions by Iran and its proxies in the region and to discuss U.S. concerns regarding the status of Iran’s nuclear program.

Several Iranian officials hinted in recent weeks about the possibility of Iran moving toward production of nuclear weapons.

Vedant Patel, the State Department’s deputy spokesperson, said Monday the Biden administration has ways to communicate with Iran when necessary.

“The Biden administration continues to assess that Iran is not currently undertaking the key activities that would be necessary to produce a testable nuclear device,” he said.

Patel added that the U.S. doesn’t believe Iran’s supreme leader has made a decision “to resume the weaponization program that we judge Iran suspended or stopped at the end of 2003.”

WATCH: Diddy Seen Physically Assaulting Cassie Ventura in 2016 Surveillance Video

    Citizen Frank

    Published

    on

A 2016 surveillance video obtained exclusively by CNN shows Sean “Diddy” Combs grab, shove, drag and kick his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura during an altercation that matches allegations in a now-settled federal lawsuit filed by Ventura in November.

The footage, compiled from multiple camera angles dated March 5, 2016, appears to show the rapper, producer and business mogul during an incident that, according to Ventura’s complaint, occurred at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. CNN verified the location based on publicly available photos of the former hotel’s interior.

In the video, Ventura exits a hotel room and walks to a bank of elevators. Combs, holding a towel around his waist, runs down a hall after Ventura. He grabs her by the back of the neck and throws her to the floor. Still holding his towel closed with one hand, he then turns to kick her, the video shows.

As Ventura is on the ground, Combs retrieves a purse and suitcase from the floor near the elevators. He turns around and kicks Ventura again as she lies motionless on the floor. About four seconds transpire between the two kicks, according to the video. He then briefly drags Ventura by her sweatshirt toward a room before walking away.

Ventura is then seen slowly standing up. She gathers items from the floor and moves to pick up a phone on the hallway wall near the elevators. Combs, still in a towel and socks, returns. A mirror directly across from the security camera shows Combs appearing to shove Ventura.

Seconds later, he sits down on a chair, grabs an object off a table and forcefully throws it toward Ventura. Combs is seen walking away, then turns toward Ventura once again when an elevator door opens and someone appears to exit.

Ventura, who reached an undisclosed settlement with Combs, declined to comment on the video obtained by CNN.

Ventura’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, said: “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”

CNN has reached out to representatives for Combs for comment. Combs has previously denied Ventura’s allegations.

When contacted by CNN, a representative for InterContinental Hotels said on Friday, “This hotel is no longer under IHG management, and we do not have any access to prior incident records or footage.”

    Ventura’s lawsuit

Combs and Ventura, a model and singer known for songs like “Me & U,” were in an off-and-on relationship from 2007 – 2018. The two were photographed together at the Los Angeles premiere of the film “A Perfect Match” on March 7, 2016.

According to Ventura’s complaint, which cited the altercation as occurring “around March 2016,” Combs became “extremely intoxicated and punched Ms. Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye.”

After Combs fell asleep, Ventura attempted to leave the hotel room, but he woke up and “followed her into the hallway of the hotel while yelling at her,” the complaint said.

“He grabbed at her, and then took glass vases in the hallway and threw them at her, causing glass to crash around them as she ran to the elevator to escape,” the complaint alleged.

After Ventura got in the elevator, her complaint states that she took a cab to her apartment.

“Upon realizing that her running away would cause Mr. Combs to be even angrier with her, and completely stuck in his vicious cycle of abuse, Ms. Ventura returned to the hotel with the intention of apologizing for running away from her abuser,” the complaint claims. “When she returned, hotel security staff urged her to get back into a cab and go to her apartment, suggesting that they had seen the security footage showing Mr. Combs beating Ms. Ventura and throwing glass at her in the hotel hallway.”

The complaint alleges Combs paid the InterContinental Century City $50,000 for the hallway security footage of the incident. The incident was part of a number of allegations made in the November lawsuit in which Ventura claimed she was raped in 2018 and subjected to years of repeated physical and other abuses by Combs.

Ventura, who was formally signed to Combs’ label, claimed in her suit that he “exerted his power and influence” over her throughout the course of their professional and romantic relationship. According to the complaint, she was 19 when they met and Combs was 37, and their business relationship lasted until 2019. It detailed claims that Combs was physically violent toward Ventura and forced her to engage in various sex acts with other men during that time.

Ben Brafman, an attorney for Combs, said in a statement to CNN on the day it was filed, “Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations.”

The suit was resolved the following day.

“A decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing,” Brafman told CNN in a statement at the time. “Mr. Combs‘ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.”

Details of the settlement were not disclosed.

    Ongoing legal issues

Since November, Combs has faced five other civil lawsuits accusing him of a range of sexual misconduct and other illegal activity. He has denied the allegations, and the cases remain active.

Authorities searched Combs’ homes in California and Florida in March as part of a federal investigation carried out by a Department of Homeland Security team that handles human trafficking crimes, according to a senior federal law enforcement official briefed on the investigation. The investigation stems from many of the same sexual assault allegations put forth in the civil lawsuits, according to a second law enforcement source familiar with the searches.

Aaron Dyer, an attorney for Combs, issued a statement at the time, calling the searches a “gross overuse of military-level force.”

“This unprecedented ambush – paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence – leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits,” he said. “There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name.”

Justice Alito Under Attack by the Left Over Upside Down American Flag

    Citizen Frank

    Published

    on

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito on Friday spoke to Fox News about the upside-down American flag seen flying outside his home in the days following the Jan. 6 Capitol protests, saying his wife displayed it in response to insults directed at her from a neighbor.

Alito weighed in after The New York Times first reported on the story Thursday, in which it said the upside-down flag — a sign of dire distress and versatile symbol of protest — appeared outside Alito’s home in Alexandria, Virginia, on Jan. 17, 2021.

Alito said the saga in his neighborhood began in the days around Jan. 6, 2021, when a neighbor living down the street put up a sign that read “F— Trump” about 50 feet away from a children’s bus stop.

He said his wife, Martha-Ann, then spoke with those neighbors about the sign and the conversation was not well received.

Alito told Fox News those neighbors then put up a sign directly attacking his wife and personally blaming her for the events that transpired on Jan. 6 at the nation’s capital.

He said that during a walk in the neighborhood with his wife, one person who lived at the property with the signage then got into an argument with her — at one point calling her derogatory language “including the C-word.”

Following that incident, Alito said Martha-Ann was distraught and decided to make some sort of statement by hanging the American flag upside down outside their home.

Alito told Fox News he had no role in the flag decision, and it was flying outside their property only “for a short time.”

He added that he felt he had no right or ability to control or order around his wife and that some neighbors on his street have been “very political.”

The story surrounding the flag outside Alito’s home comes as the Supreme Court is deciding on former President Trump’s immunity case.

The acting legend who most recently starred in Yellowstone as the father of Kevin Costner’s character John Dutton, was best known for his roles in classic movies 9 to 5, Tootsie and On Golden Pond.

Other notable roles include The Towering Inferno, WarGames and the series Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman as Merle Jeeter and The Slap Maxwell Story, as well as starring as Commodore Louis Kaestner on Boardwalk Empire.

No cause of death has been released.

His daughter Quincy Coleman confirmed his passing to TMZ on Friday: ‘My father, Dabney Wharton Coleman, took his last earthly breath peacefully and exquisitely in his home on Thursday May 16th 2024 at 1:50 pm.’

‘My father crafted his time here on Earth with a curious mind, a generous heart and a soul on fire with passion, desire and humor that tickled the funny bone of humanity. As he lived, he moved through this final act of life with elegance, excellence and mastery,’ Quincy, a singer, told The Hollywood Reporter.

‘A teacher, a hero and a king, Dabney Coleman is a gift and blessing in life and in death as his spirit will shine through his work, his loved ones and his legacy… eternally.’

TMZ noted that Dabney canceled an April appearance at Chiller Theatre in New Jersey due to his health.

The Emmy winner was married to Ann Courtney Harrell in 1957 until 1959, and actress Jean Hale from 1961 until 1984.

Dabney and Jean had three children together: Kelly, Randy and Quincy.

Jean died on August 3, 2021 at age 82.

He also has a daughter named Meghan, but it is unclear with whom, with conflicting reports saying with ex wife Ann.

In 2012, it was revealed that Dabney had been diagnosed with throat cancer, in an interview with AVClub.com.

His role as the Commodore in Boardwalk Empire was changed due to Dabney’s real-life illness.

The star said in the 2012 interview the cancer had affected his ability to speak and also said he did not have cancer anymore.

Dabney won a Golden Globe in 1988 for his role in The Slap Maxwell Story, two Screen Actors Guild Award in 2011 and 2012 for Boardwalk Empire and a Primetime Emmy Award in 1987 for Sworn to Silence.

Dabney was born on January 3, 1932 in Austin, Texas to parents Melvin Randolph Coleman and Mary Wharton.

The actor attended Virginia Military Institute for two years, and then served for two more years in the US Army’s Special Services Division.

After, he studied law in Austin at the University of Texas.

According to THR, his friend, actor Zachary Scott, who was also a family friend of Dabney’s first wife Ann, convinced him to pursue an acting career.

He left college a semester before graduation at age 26 and trained at Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City with Sanford Meisner, from 1958 until 1960.

His first role came in 1961, in a play called A Call on Kuprin – also marking his Broadway debut.

The Texas native made his TV debut in 1961, in the show Naked City, playing a resident in one episode, which he made $90 for, per THR.

His next role was in The Alfred Hitchcock Hour – in an episode in 1963 and another in 1963.

The star followed it up with a role in The Outer Limits in 1964 in three episodes, and four episodes in The Fugitive from 1964 until 1966.

Dabney also had roles in a 1965 episode of I Dream of Jeannie, and The Donna Reed Show in the same year.

His film debut was also in 1965 in a movie called The Slender Thread, where he played Charlie.

He followed it up with small roles in This Property is Condemned in 1966 alongside Natalie Wood and Robert Redford, The Scalphunters in 1968 The Trouble with Girls and Downhill Racer in 1969, I Love My Wife in 1970, Cinderella Liberty in 1973 and The Dove in 1974.

He decided to grow a mustache around this time, which he revealed in a previous interview with Vulture.

‘Without the mustache, I looked too much like Richard Nixon, There’s no question that when I grew that, all of a sudden, everything changed,’ he said.

Dabney starred in The Towering Inferno, a 1974 about new skyscraper in San Francisco that goes up in flames, with the San Francisco Fire Department called to extinguish and save the civilians.

He played SFFD Deputy Chief 1, alongside Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, William Holden, Faye Dunaway and Fred Astaire.

He played Merle Jeeter for 148 episodes of the series Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman – from 1976 until 1977.

He told Variety in 2014 that his role as Merle ‘was only supposed to last six shoes, but it kind of caught on.’

‘The part was very well written and it was just catchy, it was just a great arc. [Merle] was a comedian, a con man, so he deliberately changed his personality from time to time. And I ended up doing it for two years, and it did make my career. From that part spawned everything,’ he said.

In 1980, Dabney starred in the hit movie 9 to 5, about three women – Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda – who live out their fantasy of getting their boss – played by Dabney – overthrown.

Dabney called Jane, Dolly and Lily ‘fantastic,’ in his interview in 2014 with Variety, and even reunited with them in 2008.

He played Dr. Bill Ray in the 1981 film On Golden Pond, Ron Carlisle in 1982’s Tootsie, and Dr. John McKittrick in 1983’s War Games.

Other notable films he starred in include The Beverly Hillbillies in 1993, You’ve Got Mail in 1998, Taken in 1999 and Domino in 2005.

He starred in 26 episodes of Buffalo Bill in 1983 until 1984, and 22 episodes of The Slap Maxwell Story in 1987 until 1988.

Dabney played Burton Fallin in The Guardian in 67 episodes, from 2001 until 2004.

He starred as Commordore Louis Kaestner in Boardwalk Empire for 24 episodes, from 2010 until 2011.

TV wise, he had recently starred in Ray Donovan in 2016, NCIS in 2019, For the People in 2019 and as John Dutton Dr in a 2019 episode of Yellowstone in his final role.

He appeared in the season two finale of Yellowstone as John Dutton Sr., in an episode titled Sins of the Father.

He portrayed the father of Kevin Costner’s character – John Dutton – in the final moments of his life.

The pair go on one last horseback ride together and take in the sights before the older Dutton dies.

That year Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan said of the casting in to Deadline: ‘I’d written [the Yellowstone episode] but I believe I was prepping a movie in New Mexico and I think [Dabney Coleman] reached out and said he would be really interested in doing something.

‘I had worked with Dabney many, many years ago, almost 20 years ago, as one of the young pups. He’s a Texas guy and was such a gifted, giving actor and I was really struck by how good he was, and how kind he was, to this kid who was guest starring on his deal.

Dabney received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2014.

Paul Pelosi Attacker Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison

    Citizen Frank

    Published

    on

The man convicted of attempting to kidnap then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and attacking her husband with a hammer was sentenced to 30 years in prison Friday morning.

David DePape, 44, was given the 30-year sentence by Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley in a federal courtroom in San Francisco. Prosecutors had asked for a 40-year prison term. Dressed in an orange jumpsuit, DePape stood silently as the sentence was handed down.

DePape was tried late last year for attempted kidnapping of a federal official and assault on the immediate family member of a federal official. Jurors convicted him on both counts on Nov. 16, 2023.

DePape’s defense argued for a shorter sentence of 14 years, noting that their client did not have a prior criminal history and the remorse he expressed. The judge countered that DePape remained dangerous given his statements that he would attack his other targets, despite apologizing to his victims.

Scott Corley also said DePape’s actions created an unprecedented threat forcing all public officials to weigh the risk their job might place on family members.

“We will never know everything we have lost because of this crime,” she said.

DePape was given credit for time served for the 18 months he has been in custody. The judge imposed the maximum for each count he faced — 30 years for the assault charge, 20 years for the attempted kidnapping charge — that will run concurrently.

“This sentence is a warning: violence against those who serve the public and their families will not be tolerated,” said Attorney General Merrick B. Garland said in a statement released by the Department of Justice. “The Justice Department will aggressively prosecute those who target public servants and their families with violence. In a democracy, people vote, argue, and debate to achieve the policy outcome they desire. But the promise of democracy is that people will not employ violence to affect that outcome.”

DePape’s early morning break-in at the Pelosi home in October 2022 resulted in federal as well as state charges. A second trial in state court will start in the coming weeks.

In a letter to the court, Nancy Pelosi asked the judge for a “very long” sentence for DePape, saying the attack “[f]illed me with great fear and deep pain.” Meanwhile, Paul Pelosi’s victim statement to the judge noted that he is still suffering dizziness, headaches, balance problems, nerve pain and walking challenges from the health impacts of the vicious attack.

Christine Pelosi read the victim impact statements on behalf of her parents. Her tone was authoritative and intentional.

During tearful testimony in his federal trial, DePape admitted that he broke into the Pelosis’ San Francisco home Oct. 28, 2022, intending to hold the speaker hostage and “break her kneecaps” if she lied to him. He also acknowledged bludgeoning Paul Pelosi with a hammer after police showed up, saying his plan to end what he viewed as government corruption was unraveling.

The attack on Paul Pelosi, who was 82 at the time, was captured on police body camera video just days before the midterm elections and sent shockwaves through the political world.

Defense attorneys argued DePape was motivated by his political beliefs, not because he wanted to interfere with the speaker’s official duties as a member of Congress, making the charges against him invalid.

One of his attorneys, Angela Chuang, said during closing arguments that DePape was caught up in conspiracy theories.

During the trial DePape, a Canadian who moved to the U.S. more than 20 years ago, testified he believed news outlets repeatedly lied about former President Donald Trump. In rants posted on a blog and online forum that were taken down after his arrest, DePape described a far-fetched plan to single-handedly “take down” a series of high-profile figures. The plan echoed the baseless, conspiracy theory QAnon, which claims that a cabal of devil-worshipping pedophiles runs the U.S. government.

DePape also told jurors he had planned to wear an inflatable unicorn costume and record his interrogation of the Democratic speaker, who was not at the home at the time of the attack, to upload it online.

Prosecutors said he had rope and zip ties with him, and detectives found body cameras, a computer and a tablet.

Paul Pelosi also testified at the trial, recalling how he was awakened by a large man bursting into the bedroom and asking, “Where’s Nancy?” He said when he responded that his wife was in Washington, DePape said he would tie him up while they waited for her.

“It was a tremendous sense of shock to recognize that somebody had broken into the house, and looking at him and looking at the hammer and the ties, I recognized that I was in serious danger, so I tried to stay as calm as possible,” Pelosi told jurors.

Pelosi suffered two head wounds in the attack, including a skull fracture that was mended with plates and screws he will have for the rest of his life. His right arm and hand also were injured.

DePape is also charged in state court with assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, residential burglary and other felonies. Jury selection in that trial is expected to start May 22.

Massive Ukraine Drone Strike Hits Energy Infrastructure in Russia and Crimea

    Citizen Frank

    Published

    on

A massive wave of Ukrainian drones and missiles struck oil refineries, ports, and electricity stations in southwestern Russia and Russian-occupied Crimea early Friday.

The strike, which Russian authorities said involved more than 100 Ukrainian drones, is Ukraine’s biggest attack in months, as Kyiv aims to destroy military infrastructure and cripple Russia’s oil sector.

Residents in the port of Novorossiysk lost power Thursday night after drones hit at least two fuel depots and two oil terminals, the Russian outlet Astra reported, and the Crimean city of Sevastopol experienced rolling blackouts after Russian authorities said an electricity substation was hit.

It was the third attack in two days against Sevastopol, where schools were closed on Friday.

Ukrainian strikes have made Russian border towns unlivable

Russia’s war has transformed its once-thriving city of Belgorod, located 25 miles from the Ukrainian border, into a “ghost town,” CNN reported, as Kyiv has sought to bring the war to Russian soil.

The city is a key military hub for Russian forces and has faced daily rocket and drone attacks. An exodus of people from Belgorod has led to a drastic economic downturn, the Russian investigative outlet Verstka reported. Closer to the Ukrainian border, looting has broken out in areas that have been almost completely abandoned, according to Russian authorities. A local newspaper reported that 178 people have died in Ukrainian strikes on the region, and thousands of buildings have been damaged by shelling.

Home-grown drones key to Ukraine’s campaign against Russia

Ukraine has fostered a homegrown drone sector after its Western partners’ unwillingness to supply weapons to strike Russia. Kyiv has ramped up production of its Lyutyy drone, given the success of the large kamikaze drone that is now used in 80% of strikes on Russia, Ukrainska Pravda reported.

A former US Department of Defense analyst commended Ukraine’s decision to streamline its production, saying, “18 different drone types is good for innovating, but a campaign like this requires scale to maintain a good tempo of attacks.” At sea, Ukrainian-designed naval drones have helped compensate for Kyiv’s lack of a traditional navy, the Kyiv Independent reported.

Experts divided on the impact of Ukrainian attacks

“Russia is feeling the pinch” of Ukraine’s targeted campaign against its oil and gas sites, three experts wrote in Foreign Affairs, arguing that Kyiv’s regular attacks are eating into Russian revenues. But Sergey Vakulenko, an expert on the Russian oil sector, has questioned the extent of the strike’s impact.

While he said the strikes help buoy Ukrainian morale and force Russian oil companies to pay for repairs, the drones do not have payloads big enough to destroy infrastructure. So far, he said, the damage has not had a significant impact on the sector at large, nor has it made a serious dent in Russia’s economy.

‘Queer Planet’: NBCUniversal Launching Series About Gay and Trans Animals

NBCUniversal’s Peacock is proudly releasing a series to push the LGBTQIA2S+ agenda, featuring what they describe as gay and transgender animals, as the preview for the series concludes that “the idea of just having to fix sexes is clearly out of style.”

The trailer for the series features a narrator proclaiming that the planet is home to roughly 11 million species, as a chyron on the screen asserts that the “animal kingdom isn’t as simple as black and white,” flashing to a still photo of what appears to be a male lion humping another male lion.

“Everything you were taught as a kid was wrong,” one individual says in the trailer,” as the narrator previews “gay penguins, bisexual lions, [and] sex-changing clownfish.”

“This is a queer planet,” an individual in the trailer says as another asserts that “queerness as always existed.”

“It’s only in humans that we have such a stigma about it,” a woman states.

“The idea of having two fixed sexes is clearly out of style,” the voiceover says as a woman says, “Mother Nature is pretty open minded.”

Those in featured in the trailer conclude the “sex is not just for reproduction” and that “nature is full of queer surprises.”

The series is narrated by Andrew Rannells, who said in a statement, “We’ve all heard of gay penguins, but this film really opened my eyes to the full spectrum of LGBTQ+ behaviors across the natural world.”

“And what could be more natural than being who you are? I’m excited to be part of ‘Queer Planet,’ especially during Pride Month, and on Peacock, surely the most colorful and glamorous of all the streaming services,” he added.

    Watch:

Commenter across social media platforms made it clear that they are sick of the overt pushing of the LGBTQIA2S+ agenda.

“It never fucking ends!!!!” Donald Trump Jr. remarked:

“Next will be normalizing people and animals,” another Twitter user said.

“Won’t end until all brains have been washed…” another commented.

Comments on the YouTube link for the trailer were equally as brutal, as many made it clear they were canceling their Peacock subscriptions.

    “This is actual insanity.”

“This gabage [sic] need to stop.”

“I just want to remind you that some animal species eat their family members just for fun.”

“And just like that, millions of peacock accounts were cancled [sic].”

“What a load of garbage I thought this was from The Onion.”

“When you try to find fringe examples to justify your horrible narrative.”

“Deleting my peacock account right now.”

    “Annnnnddd, deleting my peacock account.”

    “Cancelling peacock right now.”

    “Bye.. deleted all peacock subs.”

    “Just deleted my peacock account.”

    “Deleting Peacock account immediately.”

“When does this come out. Sooo excited to cancel my subscription!!!”

The announcement of the series comes two weeks away from the far-left’s “Pride Month” in June, which they have used to heavily push their agenda in recent years. Not surprisingly, the series will begin to stream on June 6.

Israel Recovers 3 Dead Hostages in Gaza — Including Shani Louk

    Citizen Frank

    Published

    on

The Israel Defense Forces has recovered the bodies of three Israeli hostages in Gaza, including that of Shani Louk, who became an international symbol of Hamas’ savagery after images showed her being paraded around half-naked in the back of a pickup truck during the Oct. 7 attacks.

Spokesman Daniel Hagari announced Friday that the IDF recovered Louk, 22, and two additional victims of the music festival massacre, Amit Buskila, 28, and Itzik Gelernter, 58, during the Rafah operation.

“Shani Louk, Amit Buskila and Yitzhak Gelernter were kidnapped and murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7 from the Nova Music Festival,” the IDF said in a statement.

“Overnight, our troops recovered their bodies and brought them back home to Israel. We will continue operating to bring all of our hostages.”

More than 360 Israeli revelers were murdered by militants at the Nova festival, which became a key target in the terror group’s unprovoked surprise attack on the Jewish state.

Louk was one of around 40 Israeli hostages seized during the bloody assault on the music festival.

Her family announced in late October that she had died at the hands of Hamas, with Israel’s President Isaac Herzog later revealing to a German newspaper that she had been beheaded.

“My heart goes out in sympathy to the grieving and tormented families of the hostages Itzhak Gelerenter, Amit Buskila and Shani Louk, whose bodies were rescued from Gaza and will be brought for eternal rest in Israel,” Herzog wrote in an X post shortly after IDF announced the news.

At a pro-Israel event in Times Square on Tuesday, Shani’s father, Nissim Louk, told The Post that the contrasting images of his daughter circulating in media reports have showed the world the “darkness” Israel is up against in its war with the terror group.

“This picture is very important because this picture shows from one side, Shani — beautiful, amazing, bright light to the world, and from the other side you see these militants in the pickup with machine guns that bring trouble and pain to the world and nobody can mix these two pictures,” the heartbroken father said in an exclusive interview.

“And whenever you don’t know who you are, you don’t know: ‘Am I the bad guy? Am I the good guy?’ You don’t know. Look at these pictures — and it immediately straightens everything out.”

    Trump Attends Son Barron’s Graduation

Donald Trump set his legal woes aside for the morning as he jetted into Florida Friday to see youngest son Barron graduate high school.

The former President was joined by wife Melania to watch their 18-year-old son and his Class of 2024 pals enjoy their big day at exclusive Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach.

Families took their seats in the bleachers under the watchful eye of two police snipers perched above the announcers’ box. US Marshalls and deputies from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office patrolled the highway and taped off the sidewalk as they prepared for Trump’s arrival.

The unprecedented scenes for a high school graduation did not prevent the smartly-dressed attendees from enjoying themselves as they chatted and smiled with the school band playing Verdi in the background.

The President and his ten-vehicle Secret Service motorcade pulled into the school with just minutes to spare, entering a heavily guarded exit straight behind the football field.

There was a brief glimpse of Trump, in a dark suit, white shirt and blue tie, eliciting a round of applause from the crowd.

He took his seat at the very front of the bleachers next to Melania, wearing a navy blazer and a straw hat, and her father Viktor Knavs.

Barron’s years at the elite private school in West Palm Beach have been shrouded in secrecy with the former First Lady determined to keep her 6 ft, 7 in. son out of the limelight.

The ceremony began with the school choir performing America The Beautiful. The master of ceremonies kicked things off by welcoming parents and graduates.

‘I want to give a special welcome to the President and Mrs. Trump,’ he added, drawing applause.

The schools founder, William Koch, couldn’t make it but sent his best his wishes, he added. ‘You have excelled in sports and academics and made friends that will last a lifetime,’ the MC went on, addressing the graduating students, who wore traditional navy blue caps and gowns and hats despite the 85f heat. ‘We are all so very proud of you.’

Cars routinely beeped their horns as they drove past the school.

Students were announced in alphabetical order, the master of ceremonies eventually arriving at ‘Barron William Trump’ to a ripple of applause.

Barron, in his dark blue cap and gown and red sash, stepped up to the stage, turned to briefly acknowledge the crowd then shook hands and accepted his diploma.

A visibly-proud Trump seemed to revel in his son’s right of passage, chatting animatedly with a smiling Melania, clapping and waving to the graduates – and giving them a trademark thumbs up as the ceremony wrapped.

As they prepared to leave former First Couple took time to wave at the crowds while Trump pumped his right fist in the air in celebration, the onlookers responding with waves and warm applause.

With that they headed back to their motorcade and drove away from the school.

Oxbridge, a college prep school for grades six through 12, was founded in 2011 by billionaire William Koch, the brother of GOP mega-donors Charles and David Koch.

Classes at the 54-acre site were cancelled for the day so staff could ‘focus solely’ on the ceremony, with media barred from attending and admission strictly limited to ‘invitation only’.

The families of the 116 graduates were asked to arrive several hours early to undergo a Secret Service security screening before taking their seats on the football field.

With Friday’s graduation wrapped up, attention will now turn to Barron’s next steps.

It was reported earlier this month that Barron would be a Florida delegate at this July’s Republican National Convention in Milwaukee until Melania, 54, announced her son was ‘honored’ by the selection but focused on ‘prior commitments’.

Trump told Megyn Kelly last year that Barron was ‘thinking about’ attending his alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania, where his older kids Ivanka, Donald Trump Jr. and Tiffany also studied.

Barron was also rumored to be considering NYU in a move that could see Melania move back to New York with him – but nothing has been confirmed.

More recently, Trump hinted during a May 9 event at his Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach residence that the recent unrest on liberal college campuses could play a role in his son’s decision-making.

‘Right now, he’s doing a great job. He has great marks. He’s going to be going to college soon. And we’re looking at some colleges that are different [than] they were two months ago,’ he said in a clip posted to X.

WATCH: Chaos Erupts in Hearing as Greene, Ocasio-Cortez Clash Over ‘Fake Eyelashes’ Jibe at Crockett

    Citizen Frank

    Published

    on

A House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing devolved into chaos Thursday night as Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) clashed after the firebrand Republican accused Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) of wearing “fake eyelashes.”

The comment — which was made during a markup to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress — prompted nearly an hour of disorder in the committee, with lawmakers screaming over one another and hurling insults left and right, leaving Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) struggling to maintain order.

The madness culminated Thursday night with a vote on whether or not to allow Greene to continue speaking during the hearing, which the panel ultimately granted in a 22-20 vote. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) — who has butted heads with Greene in the past — crossed party lines to vote against allowing the Georgia lawmaker to proceed during the hearing. Boebert was sitting two seats away from Greene during the vote.

“I hope you brought your popcorn,” Greene exclaimed at one point during the hearing.

Republicans moved to hold Garland in contempt after the attorney general refused to hand over the audio recording of President Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur, despite already having the transcript of the conversation. Biden claimed executive privilege over the audio recordings.

The vote passed 24-20 along party lines just after 11 p.m. EDT Thursday night, hours after the House Judiciary Committee did the same. The full House will now vote on holding the attorney general in contempt.

Mayhem broke out during Thursday night’s Oversight hearing when Greene asked if any Democrats on the panel were employing the daughter of Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing former President Trump’s hush money trial in Manhattan. Trump and Republicans have targeted the judge’s daughter over her employment at a progressive digital agency. The Oversight Committee delayed Thursday’s contempt markup from an 11 a.m. start time to 8 p.m. so a number of Republicans who sit on the panel were able to attend Trump’s trial in Manhattan.

“Please tell me what that has to do with Merrick Garland,” Crockett, a first-term lawmaker, asked, later adding, “do you know what we’re here for?”

“I don’t think you know what you’re here for,” Greene responded. “I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading.”

The comment prompted outrage from Democrats, with Rep. Jamie Raskin (Md.), the top Democrat on the committee, saying “that’s beneath even you, Ms. Greene,” and Ocasio-Cortez yelling “that’s disgusting.”

Ocasio-Cortez moved to take down Greene’s words, calling them “absolutely unacceptable.”

“How dare you attack the physical appearance of another person,” she added.

“Are your feelings hurt?” Greene responded.

“Oh girl, oh baby girl, don’t even play,” Ocasio-Cortez shot back, leading Greene to say “oh really, baby girl?”

The back-and-forth prompted a short pause in the proceedings as Comer determined how to proceed. When they resumed, Greene said she would agree to strike her words, but Ocasio-Cortez demanded that she apologize to Crockett, an exchange that led to Greene lobbing an insult at the New York Democrat.

“I believe she needs to apologize,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“I’m not apologizing,” Greene responded, to which Ocasio-Cortez replied “well then you’re not striking your words.”

“Why don’t you debate me?” Greene asked.

    “I think it’s pretty self-evident,” Ocasio-Cortez shot back.

“Yeah, you don’t have enough intelligence,” Greene responded, prompting uproar among Democrats.

Ocasio-Cortez quickly moved to strike Greene’s “intelligence” comment, which the Georgia Republican agreed to. But she again said she would not apologize, sparking more chaos.

“You will never get an apology out of me,” Greene reiterated shortly after. “I don’t owe you one.”

More disorder ensued minutes later when Crockett asked if a hypothetical comment — which appeared to be a veiled jab at Greene — would break Congressional protocol.

“I’m just curious, just to better understand your ruling,” Crockett said, referring to a ruling Comer had made about Greene’s comments. “If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleach blond bad built butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?”

At that point, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) jumped into the chaos, asking to strike Crockett’s words.

“I’m trying to get clarification,” Crockett said, prompting Luna to repeatedly yell “calm down.”

“Don’t tell me to calm down,” Crockett responded.

“Calm down,” Luna shot back. “You’re out of control.”

“If I come and talk shit about her ya’ll gonna have a problem,” Crockett said.

“I don’t know what you’re acting like that. It’s not cute,” Luna responded.

Raskin, at one point, made a crack about Democrats reviving their motion to adjourn the proceedings, saying, “I think these 17 hour days might not work for us.”

“Something about working, huh,” Luna responded.

Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.), at that point, joined the conversation.

“Yeah, maybe showing up for a vote,” he responded, an apparent reference to Luna missing votes in the Capitol Thursday afternoon after she appeared alongside Trump at his hush money trial in Manhattan.

Luna shot back, calling Goldman a “trust fund kid.”

The raucous stretch of the hearing, which began roughly 30 minutes into the proceedings, finally came to an end after the panel voted to allow Greene to continue speaking.

Scottie Scheffler, the top golfer in the world, was taken into custody Friday and charged with felony assault on a police officer and reckless driving outside of a PGA championship event in Kentucky.

Scheffler, 27, was arrested after he was seen driving on a median toward the entrance to Valhalla Golf Club, the site of the event, and initially failing to heed an officer’s order for him to stop, according to an ESPN reporter who witnessed the incident.

The Louisville Metropolitan Department of Corrections website showed that Scheffler was booked at 7:28 a.m. ET. But the charges against him appeared to have been disposed, as of 8:50 a.m. ET, according to the DOC site.

The status of Scheffler’s arrest and the charges against him were not immediately clear. A spokesperson for the PGA did not immediately respond to CNBC’s request for comment.

Scheffler is set to tee off at 10:08 a.m. ET from the 10th hole for the second day of the championship, according to the PGA’s website for the event.

The ESPN reporter, Jeff Darlington, said Friday morning that he saw Scheffler “detained by police officers, placed in the back of a police vehicle in handcuffs after he tried to pull around what he believed to security.”

“When he didn’t stop the police officer attached himself to the vehicle, Scheffler then traveled another 10 yards before stopping the car,” Darlington said on ESPN’s “Sports Center.”

“The police officer then grabbed at his arm attempting to pull him out of the car before Scheffler eventually opened the door at which point the police officer pulled Scheffler out of the car pushed him up against the car and immediately placed him in handcuffs,” Darlington said.
